Happening Weekly (the newsletter) and Happening Concierge (answers by email and text) are free services run by Matthew Fiorentino in Newton, Massachusetts. By using them you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

The newsletter

Happening Weekly is a weekly email of local events. Event details come from the organizers' own newsletters and calendars; dates, prices and availability can change, so check with the organizer before you go. Unsubscribe anytime with the link in any issue.

Happening Concierge

Happening Concierge answers questions about events around Newton using the same event listings. Its answers are written with the help of an AI model and can be wrong; check the event's own page before you go. Don't send sensitive personal information.

Text messaging terms

Program: Happening Concierge. Text a question about events around Newton to (855) 459-1244 and we text back event picks.
Who can join: Happening Weekly subscribers. Sign up with the “Get this by text” link in any of our emails, or at happeningweekly.com/text with your subscription email, and check the consent box.
Message frequency: replies to the messages you send, up to 10 a day, plus only the reminders and alerts you ask for (a few a week at most). Message frequency varies. We don't send marketing texts.
Msg & data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP anytime. You'll get one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and no more after that. Reply START to rejoin.
